Sports Radio Interviews – D1 College Basketball

I interviewed the Virginia Military Institute’s new Head Basketball Coach Andrew Wilson on my weekly, live sports radio show on WLUR Lexington. Wilson was hired shortly before this interview, so this was one of the first interviews he did as a Division I head coach.

On my weekly radio show, I’ve had the chance to interview a few Division I basketball coaches in the Southern Conference over the past few years. We’ve been able to by building and sustaining relationships inside of the conference.

On Dinner Time with my friend Andrew Arnold and I, we’ve constructed a sports talk show that airs live on local radio for 90 minutes each Monday. I’ve used a lot of the skills I’ve learned from my two internships in radio to produce good audio, tease the listener and create entertaining and informative content. Here is a sample show.

I completed an internship with 680 The Fan, a sports talk radio station in Atlanta, in January 2020. I got two opportunities to go on the air during my internship. One of which was a one-minute sports update on drivetime, morning radio, and the other was a breaking new segment on a later show.
